Sledge hockey is a
Paralympic sport played at an international level
around the world where people with physical disabilities are able to play hockey
using adapted equipment.
The Calgary Scorpions Sledge
Hockey club,
the SBHASA-sponsored
sledge hockey team,
plays from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. Saturday nights at the Stew Hendry Arena in Calgary
(814 - 13 Avenue NE). Members are welcome to attend and participate.

Wheelchair curling is available for adults
looking for a winter activity - no experience necessary!
The league generally plays on Saturday
afternoons in Calgary. Please email

Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Awareness Month
June is SB&H Awareness month across Canada. The
SBHASA will be promoting information on spina bifida and hydrocephalus, SBHASA
programs, as well as brochures on the importance of folic acid.
If you would like to fulfill your volunteer
hours fundraising or raising public awareness, please contact us in late April
or early May.
